My review:
What can I say, I devoured Wires and Nerve. I loved every bit of it. And it’s finally Iko-centered. I have loved Iko’s character from book one of the Lunar Chronicles (Cinder). This book is written from her point of view and she’s as amazing as I remembered. She goes on a wolf soldier hunt with a lot of wit, sassiness and martial arts. I have laughed many times while reading, mostly due to Iko saying something funny or Thorne being Thorne. Even though he seemed to get a tad more whiny. But every character is so much in character, if that makes any sense at all. Cinder still loves to wear comfortable clothes and wants nothing more than to escape the public, despite being queen. Kai is still perfect. Wolf and Scarlet are happy on their farm. Thorne and Cress are being cute on the Rampion and helping people. Winter is just wonderful and so in love with Jacin. And Iko dreams of being human. I feel so much for her. She is so amazing and still people are describing her as faulty and exchangeable, just because she’s actually in android and I wanted nothing more than to shout at these characters.
It was also something different, but in a positive way, to read this story as a graphic novel. Though the art could have been a bit more colourful, I thought it was fitting the story very well. The characters were portrayed great and there were many cute details. And I really, really enjoyed everything about Wires and Nerve so much. I just need more of it. Right away.
