Review:
I have waited so long for this book. Basically since I’ve finished A Court of Thorns and Roses which was a year ago. And when I say I loved ACOTAR, let me tell you: A Court of Mist and Fury was even better. Even though I didn’t really have time to read, I read whenever I could and finished the book in just a few days and I need more more more.
What I love most about this book is how realistically the characters are portrayed, not only regarding the character itself, but also how Sarah J. Maas’ writing style interacts with them. Most of the characters have suffered a lot and all of them have a trauma. I could feel with all of these characters, suffered with them. The effects a trauma can have and what mentally and physically abuse can do to a person, and possible ways of dealing with them, are described so well and realistically. And you can really see the changes, especially in Feyre. The characters keep growing and I got more and more attached. And the characters who are newly introduced are just awesome. There are just so many different characters, interacting so well (or not…) with each other, I love it.
The world building continued to be fantastic, showing the reader more and more facettes of both the world itself and its inhabitants.
Also, the sex szenes. They were so great, though some of them were pretty detailed (maybe more NA than YA). BUT SO GOOD.
Before I read the book and knew nothing about it except for the synopsis, I was afraid this would all end in another love triangle. But it turned out such a different way from what I’ve expected and I am so unbelievably happy about it!
Actually, I have nothing bad to say about the book at all, except for the fact that it is over. I need book 3 as soon as possible, and I have no idea how to handle the long wait until next year. Please give me more of this.
