Bullet & Book Journal spreads | October 2019

03/10/2019

Hoohoo, guys.

Time for another BuJo post! I had a lot of fun with these ones. It’s also the first time that I don’t have a page for books in my normal Bullet Journal but put everything in my Book Journal instead. So, what did I use?

  • Leuchtturm 1917 A5, dotted, BuJo: ice blue; book journal: lemon
  • Royal Talens van Gogh water colour pocket box
  • Mitsubishi uni-ball signo broad, Gold + White
  • Tombow calligraphy pen WS-BS 150 + WS-BH 150
  • Faber-Castell Multimark 1523 permanent, S, black
  • Faber-Castell PITT artist pen, XS, black 199
  • Faber-Castell PITT artist pent, B, black 199, caput mortuum 169, raw umber 180, magenta 133
  • Staedtler pigment liner 0.05, black
  • Tombow ABT brush pens in 020, 025, 062, 845, 847, 873, 905, 946, 993

additionals:

  • brushes, soft
  • water
  • kitchen roll

Bullet Journal

For this theme, I did a mixture of autumn trees & bubbling cauldrons. My title page is entirely painted with water colour, the lettering with brush pens. It shows a street in autumn with trees and falling leaves. The neighbouring page is my calendar which is accompanied by a cauldron. The smoke is made with water colours, as well as the cauldron itself. Details with fineliners and ball pens.

My mood tracker is a cauldron, there is one bubble or smoke part for each day which I will colour in the according colours. I’m ridiculously excited to see how this turns out in the end. My habit tracker is basically like in the previous months, where I colour in what I did each day and since it is October, I used autumn colours for this.

Then, of course I’ve got my blog page, where I put in the stats of each day to keep track of them. I’ll also write down post ideas here.

Then I did a thing I’ve never done before. Usually I made a weekly spread, where I put both to-dos and diary stuff in. I decided to separate the two. So I have a few pages dedicated to to-dos…

… and the rest for the Diary. I don’t write down long texts every day, just a few little words what happened or didn’t happened. Just things I thought are important to remember.

Book Journal

On the left you can see my list for my reading challenge, on the right side is the title page for October. I kept it very simple and just made a watercolour pumpkin. I added details with black fineliner and did the lettering with brush pen.

Then follows the book haul page. Can’t miss it, it’s too important. And it’s the one page I usually put in my normal bullet journal. Next to it is the first book info page. I’ll do a page like this for every book I’ll read in October. The page colour will vary from book to book, depending on the cover’s colour.

And that’s it! What about you? Do you have a journal? Or several? What theme do you have?

Until next time,

  1. Hallo Katja,

      Kat
