exciting March releases

27/02/2020

Hoohoo, guys.

As every month, I’ve already posted the YA LGBT+ releases and will now dedicate this post to the books I personally am looking very forward to. This may be NA or YA or adlt novels, fantasy or romance. Just what speaks to me cover and synopsis wise. I say cover, because a pretty cover is my Achilles heel and I buy books way too often solely based on how good it looks. But anywayyyyys, enough of that, here come the books.

MARCH 3RD

house of earth and bloodHouse of Earth and Blood by Sarah J. Maas
Crescent City #1

Bryce Quinlan had the perfect life—working hard all day and partying all night—until a demon murdered her closest friends, leaving her bereft, wounded, and alone. When the accused is behind bars but the crimes start up again, Bryce finds herself at the heart of the investigation. She’ll do whatever it takes to avenge their deaths.
Hunt Athalar is a notorious Fallen angel, now enslaved to the Archangels he once attempted to overthrow. His brutal skills and incredible strength have been set to one purpose—to assassinate his boss’s enemies, no questions asked. But with a demon wreaking havoc in the city, he’s offered an irresistible deal: help Bryce find the murderer, and his freedom will be within reach.
As Bryce and Hunt dig deep into Crescent City’s underbelly, they discover a dark power that threatens everything and everyone they hold dear, and they find, in each other, a blazing passion—one that could set them both free, if they’d only let it. (goodreads)

the kingdom of backThe Kingdom of Back by Marie Lu

Two siblings. Two brilliant talents. But only one Mozart.

But even as she delights audiences with her masterful playing, she has little hope she’ll ever become the acclaimed composer she longs to be. She is a young woman in 18th century Europe, and that means composing is forbidden to her. She will perform only until she reaches a marriageable age—her tyrannical father has made that much clear.
And as Nannerl’s hope grows dimmer with each passing year, the talents of her beloved younger brother, Wolfgang, only seem to shine brighter. His brilliance begins to eclipse her own, until one day a mysterious stranger from a magical land appears with an irresistible offer. He has the power to make her wish come true—but his help may cost her everything. (goodreads)

Summer love…gone so fast.

Dreams that are crushed when he sees Will at a school party and finds that the sweet and affectionate (and comfortably queer) guy he knew from summer isn’t the same one attending Collinswood High.
Will is more than a little shocked to see Ollie the evening of that first day of school. While his summer was spent being very much himself, back at school he’s simply known as one of the varsity basketball guys.
