Hoohoo, guys.
It’s another post regarding the Literary World Tour. I didn’t really have time to blog in October, but now I’m finally at it, almost before the end of the month. So, the task was to create a tour around the world, describing what you’d like to see there. And without further blabla, here’s what I’d choose:
1st stop: Bordeaux, France
I know, I know, I’ve visited this city before. Twice. But it’s my favourite city so I can’t leave it out, and there’s still sooo much to see there! And to see again! The museums, the buildings, the Garonne and the bookshops. Breathing in the whole atmosphere of Bordeaux.
2nd stop: Pompeii, Italy
I’ve been fascinated with Pompeii for a long time. I’d love to see this city, once grand, now in ruins, preserved by ash and stone. Of course, I’d also take a trip to Naples while I’m there. And I always had a thing for volcanoes and I’ve never seen one.
3rd stop: Cairo, Egypt
To be fair, I don’t want to only visit Cairo. But I want to visit some sites and museums there, then travel along the Nile and finally see the monuments and places I read about every day. I want to see big reliefs and Deir el-Medina, I want to use the knowledge I have of ancient Egypt.
4th stop: Kilimanjaro, Tanzania
Yes, I would love to see that. Another volcano, or three, really, though not active anymore (I think?). I wouldn’t need to go up there necessarily, I really just want to see it.
5th stop: Hobbiton movie set, Matamata, New Zealand
I just really fucking love the Lord of the Rings film. And the Shire is so pretty and lovely and my heart aches to go there, so of course I’d love to visit the movie set.
6th stop: Ha Long Bay, Vietnam
The beauty of nature. I don’t know what else to say. I believe nature there to be incredible and I’d love to see it.
7th stop: Huangshan, China
Hello yes more nature! Wow, I’d love to go there and see the rock formations and the clouds and fog and trees.
8th stop: Saint Petersburg, Russia
I believe the city is a feast for the eyes, opulent and beautiful. I’d love to see the Hermitage especially, but I’d also love to just walk around and take evrything in.
And those are my 8 stops! If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?
Until next time,
